Liz Mearns

I'm Liz, an experienced career, return-to-work and executive coach with a background in senior commercial leadership roles within financial services at Lloyds Banking Group. As a qualified coach since 2010, I've coached and supported hundreds of professionals through career transitions, leadership challenges, return-to-work journeys and periods of uncertainty. I understand both the realities of the corporate world and the personal challenges that can shape our careers along the way.

My coaching style is warm, practical and insightful. I'm known for helping people feel seen, understood and encouraged, while also providing the challenge needed to create meaningful change. Many of the people I work with are balancing careers alongside family responsibilities, caring commitments, health challenges or other significant life changes. Like many of the people I coach, I've experienced significant career transition myself. I redesigned my own career from a long-established corporate career into something that truly plays to my strengths - coaching! This taught me two things: firstly, that career paths are rarely linear and secondly, that you're not as typecast in your existing career as you might think you are! I know how daunting change can feel, but I also know that there are often more options available than we initially see. Sometimes, what we need most is the space to think things through, challenge our assumptions and take practical steps towards a future that feels right for us.
