I help people make career transitions
I help people make career transitions.
During my time working with leading global business schools and universities, and working as a freelance coach, I've supported 1000s of people to make meaningful career changes, whether that's through 1:1 coaching, high impact workshops or keynote presentations.
I helped them think through their options, make good decisions, and put in place strategies to implement those decisions. I also helped at the sharp end of the process with CVs, cover letters, interview preparation, salary negotiation, and landing well in the new role.
Career transitions aren't quick, and it's not about having a beautiful CV and slick elevator pitch (as important as these things are). They typically span 3 to 5 years from the initial phase of "simmering dissatisfaction" to fully settling into a new professional identity, and the process is about networking and iterative "test-and-learn" experiments (side projects, temporary assignments, advisory work) prior to making a formal switch.
I work with people from all levels, from senior executives to undergraduates, and from all sectors. I find the variety stimulating and it keeps me interested and motivated - and it means I'm always learning and can take insights from one area and apply them elsewhere.
I'm a LinkedIn 'Top Voice', I wrote 'The Core Career Dials', and I've got a TedX talk, and I write 'The Career Coach' column for Thred Media, answering questions about careers and the workplace for their GenZ readers.
I've been a career development professional for 10 years now, but prior to that I spent 10 years as a manager at BNY (the big American trust bank) and 6 years in a fintech startup, so I know what it's like to work in both big and small organisations, and I've made significant career pivots myself.
If you're thinking of a career pivot, reach out and get in touch.
